The Wonderful tale of Glorbus
(with bonus content!)

Chapter four: Depresso
Glorbus trotted through the mostly empty city street. Johnny riding along. Glorbus thought back to when he was first deciding the qualities he wanted to see in a friend, and he remembered wanting someone who could carry him, not the other way around. Being near Johnny made him feel big, and exposed, when all Glorbus wanted was to feel small, and safe.
"What happens now?" Glorbus asked Johnny, his existential dread dangerously close.
"We do whatever we want!" Johnny responded in mock understanding of the future.
"What do we want?"
"I don't know, money? In this modern capitalistic society I've noticed you can't do anything without money."
Glorbus stared off into the distance. Money... The infamous money. Finance, wealth, so forth.
"How do we get money?" Glorbus continued walking, as it was the only thing possible to do at the moment. Johnny didn't answer, because the only possible response meant turning this series into a career/general services drama, and those were a pretty overused form of conflict.
"We can't, it's just for humans." Glorbus shuddered at the mention of humans. Apparently all they did all day was eat hot-chip and lie. Glorbus looked up at the sun to burn a sphere into his vison, any time he didn't know where to walk, he stared at the sun and let the sphere decide. Walking was the only thing he could do here. As Glorbus peered up, he saw the sky was just clouds. Not grey clouds, but even if it did rain, why would it matter? All water did was slide off Glorbus's smooth surface in perfect glassy orbs.
"Do you want to talk about your feelings?" Johnny suggested. Glorbus took a deep breath.
"I feel empty inside due to the lack of consistent stimulation in my life currently." A long silence.
"Ok." Johnny's tone explained he didn't know how to respond to Glorbus's straight-forwardness, and instead chose to remain silent. Glorbus knew the path of someone like him would be exiting soon, but he was worried it wouldn't come to him in the right way, so Glorbus knew not to ignore it. Several examples occurred during that exact thought, he saw tons of problems, but none he would be able to solve, mostly due to his size and skillset. His pool-green cytoplasm seemed to deflate under his depressing thoughts, and his stride seemed noticeably more jiggly as his existential dread creeped up closer than ever. Johnny sank a bit on Glorbus's back like a rock on a slowly deflating water balloon.
"What's wrong?" Johnny asked, noticing Glorbus's flatness. Glrobus squeaked a sad little squeak and stopped walking. What was he point anyway?
"Uh oh, are you emo now or something?"
Glorbus squeaked again in response, leaking a single emo tear from his giant emo eyes. Johnny sighed and climbed off of Glorbus with the grace of a toddler exiting a half-deflated bounce-house.
"You know what you need?" Johnny said right into Glorbus's emo face, "You need a goal, and to go to Hot Topic, that'll probably help you look more emo, but more importantly, you need a goal! One that you won't be able to accomplish, probably ever, but one believable enough to keep you going!" Glorbus attempted to wipe his little fake tear away, but his nubbies were too short, undenounced to Glorbus as he dramatically looked at the pavement all sad and emo-like.
"But what's even the point?" Glorbus said, you could almost see the eyeliner and dark hair covering one eye with the way he responded.
"That's the thing." Johnny continued; "There is no point. The only reason anyone could ever think of to exist, is just to wander around blankly and try and survive. But were past that now! The humans had it coming, they're too self destructive for their own fragile goods. Be you don't have to do that! You have a choice, you can mope like the sad degenerates," Johnny motioned to a human inside a store window doing nothing, "or you can try and make the best of it. What is it gonna be?" Glorbus stared blankly out, clearly soaking in the great wisdom as an imaginary orchestra swelled hopefully awaiting Glorbus's choice:
"What?" Glorbus looked back at Johnny with his usual expression of confused cuteness, with his ever unmoving pupils. "Sorry what did you say? I was spacing out." Glorbus stared with his same lil' smile, fully inflated like his emo-ness never happened. Johnny sighed an climbed back on Glorbus.
"What about space, you wanna go to space?"
"Ok!" Said Glorbus, trotting along adorably. "Where is it?" Johnny chuckled
"No, it's really far away, we have to work hard to get there."
"Ok then." And Glorbus trotted away into the sunset.
Bonus!
This chapter sets up what ends up happening with Eye and Spacedude if you notice it. This was back when the chapters were super short, so there's not much story here. I mostly wanted to address the gaping hole in my story's plot that is the complete lack of plot, and there eventually is one, obviously, but it took me a while to actually introduce it and useless chapters like this one ended up happening because of it.
